Expensive Slimy Oil or Free Wind? The prospect of $100 a barrel oil has investors falling all over each other to invest in wind energy. The Shrode Report has learned from several anonymous insiders that the government as well as big business is planning on developing wind energy on a huge scale. Gyps Nick points out that the latest technology in wind generators can practically harness the butterfly effect and turn it into electricity.  The butterfly effect was mentioned in the book CHAOS by the New York Times Science Editor James Glick, back in the 1980's. It stated that a butterfly flapping it's wings in China could eventually affect the weather in New York. GE has new wind generators that have propellers so large they need a barge for each blade.
