SHORT TAKE for that Quick Break:
Can spring break replace Easter?
The Shrode Report sent Gypsy Nick to the beach to find out.
Gypsy Nick reports he found no evidence of Jesus or Easter eggs at the beach, so the consensus seems to be a qualified no. Three out of four coeds were to giggly to talk.
When Gypsy Nick asked the parents about their choice, quite a few had a delima over Lamb or Ham. When Gypsy Nick mentioned the reason for the season, he was called a party pooper by a few, laughed at by some and told about Jesus by more than expected.

So what is the reason for the season? For Spring Break?
The Christian community started Easter to celebrate the fact that the tomb of Jesus was found empty 3 days after Jesus was executed on the cross and later the Bible records that Jesus appeared to his disciples as risen from the dead and headed for heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Jesus said that all who would believe that he died for their sins, would inherit eternal life. He gave everyone a free choice. This was the first pro-choice movement started around 2000 years ago.
What about Spring Break? Gypsy Nick found out that the traditional college Holiday was started to give the college kids, away from home for the first time, a chance to blow off steam and run wild,
off campus, so as not to incur any liabilities or anger from the parents and Alumni who supported the schools with their money.

An empty tomb.
The scriptures say an angel rolled away the stone. But we liked the art. :-)

So what about Easter eggs?
Gypsy Nick found that Christians and non-Christians alike, love to color eggs and have Easter egg hunts for the kids. So, what's the harm? Check with your heart?

But what can the rich people do to differentiate themselves?
The Shrode Reports that jewelers came to the rescue with very expensive Easter eggs.

Some even mixed their messages so as to please everybody.
So what do you think? It's your choice.
Gypsy Nick thinks you can have both, is that OK?
