This 1936 historic portrait by Photographer, Dorothea Lange from Libray of Congress Library of Congress: Prints and Photographs Division, Captures the despair and desparation of the Great Depression. Fate dealt America a pair of debilitating blows in the 1930s:-- A Great Depression and a Dust Bowl Draught. This caused unprecedented misery and waves of migration.
